SCHEDULING WHEN A NAME DISPLAYS

On the right side of the “Add a Name” or “Edit a Name” page, you can adjust on which date a name displays on the touchscreen’s main page.

First enter the “Yahrzeit Date On Gregorian Calendar”, including the correct year of death. This date must always be entered, even if a name is intended to display on a Hebrew date of death.

Then select one of three display date options:

  1. Gregorian Date of Death: Leave all check boxes blank for this option
  2. Hebrew Date of Death: Check the “Use Hebrew Calendar” box, and the “Died After Sunset” box if applicable. The name will now display annually on the Hebrew yahrzeit date. (You do not need to manually enter the “Yahrzeit Date On Hebrew Calendar”; it auto-populates based on a calculation from the Gregorian date.)
  3. Alternate Display Date: If a member requests to observe yahrzeit on a different date from their loved one’s regular date, check the “Use Alternate Display Date” box . Then enter the alternate date here. This change will affect only the current year and automatically reset for the year after.

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO CLICK “SAVE CHANGES” BEFORE LEAVING THIS PAGE OR YOU WILL LOSE ANY DATA YOU ENTERED.

CHANGES WILL APPEAR ON THE TOUCHSCREEN THE FOLLOWING DAY. TO DISPLAY CHANGES INSTANTLY, USE THE INVISIBLE BUTTON PROCEDURE.
