SCHEDULING WHEN SCREEN CHANGES TO A NEW YAHRZEIT WEEK

Synagogues can select when the screen will switch over to the next week’s list of yahrzeit names. Click the “Edit Appearance and Schedule” button on the main page. Then, using the “Functional Settings” on the right side of the page, choose from the following:

–If the yahrzeits that your synagogue observes on Shabbat occur on calendar dates in the week coming up, select “Start of Shabbat” in the “Load New Week’s Names” option.

–If the yahrzeits that your synagogue observes on Shabbat occur on calendar dates in the week that is coming to a close, select “End of Shabbat” in the “Load New Week’s Names” option.

The exact time of day that this changeover occurs is set using the “Shabbat Window” settings. (For more on the “Shabbat Window” read here). Depending on the preference you selected in the “Load New Week’s Names” setting, the changeover will happen either at the start of your Shabbat Window or the end of your Shabbat Window.
